Start2Finish also helps you manage your repair by providing you real-time updates throughout the process and allows users to securely pay for their repairs directly on the app. Built with you in mind, Start2Finish stands to create a positive experience, every time.
Unfortunately, the auto body repair process that exists today is broken. Auto body repair is notoriously known for a wide range of estimates for the same damage. There are also communication barriers that exist and a lack of organization which leads to stressful experiences for both users and shops. Start2Finish eliminates this problem by providing an all-in-one platform that guides you through your repair process from start to finish.
Start2Finish is very particular with which shops we choose to partner with. All shops must have a positive online presence and certifications to be considered on our platform.
All repairs are paid for directly on the app. After your in-person quote has been approved, you will be prompted to pay on Stripe’s AES 256-Bit SSL encryption allowing no storage of your payment information. A percentage goes to the body shop, the rest is held in escrow until your satisfaction has been ensured.
Yes. Start2Finish offers Buyer Protection. When a shop agrees to handle your repair, they are making an agreement to meet your complete expectations before receiving the remaining payment.

There are many ways to message shops throughout the platform. One of the fastest ways is to click the icon of the shop you wish to message, opening the body shop Profile view. Click on the ‘Message’ button to instantly send a message to the shop. You will be notified when the shop responds to your message and the conversation will appear in your ‘Messages’ tab.
Whether you’re arriving for the in-person quote, dropping off your car, or picking it up after repairs, Start2Finish provides a Check-in screen built into the process for you to display to shop employees upon arrival.
Once your Drop-Off has been scheduled, you do have the opportunity to cancel the appointment and receive a full refund within 5 – 10 days through the Start2Finish mobile app. Once you drop off your vehicle at the body shop for repairs, you must contact Start2Finish for any cancellations. At this point, since the body shop has begun the repair process, you may not be subject to a full refund.
To qualify for Buyer’s Protection, all payments for repairs must go through the Start2Finish mobile app. It is against a shop’s User Agreement to require you to pay for the agreed repair outside of the Start2Finish platform. Please contact the S2F support team immediately if you are experiencing any issues with payments.
If your selected shop finds more damage during the repair process, also known as “Supplemental Damages,” they will provide you with an updated quote and details regarding your repair.
Under Buyer’s Protection:
You have the right to
- accept the new quote and continue the repair process.
- deny the new quote, receive a refund, and pick up your car with no repairs completed.
Once your account has been created, you will be notified when a user posts a request within a 10 mile radius of your location. Users will post at least three photos from three different angles of the damage, vehicle make and model, a description and their VIN. Use the Start2Finish ‘Search’ tab to find new jobs and provide estimates, for free!
Start2Finish partners with Stripe to securely send and receive money between users and body shops. Upon payment, shops receive a 50% deposit before beginning the job and the other 50% after completion. Start2Finish charges a $50 service fee and Stripe collects a 2.9% processing charge that is automatically deducted from your second payment. There are no other fees associated with using the Start2Finish platform.

An in-person quote allows the shop to thoroughly inspect what needs to be repaired and provide a final quote. We understand a shop can gather only so much information through pictures, for this purpose, the in-person quote is a crucial element of the Start2Finish repair process.
Start2Finish charges a $50 service fee for maintaining and improving services. Stripe collects a 2.9% processing charge for securely processing transactions. All fees are automatically deducted from your second payment. There are no other fees associated with using the Start2Finish platform.

We understand challenges and circumstances arise that can prevent you from being able to begin a job after it’s been scheduled. Start2Finish makes it easy for you to cancel the repair and allows you the opportunity to provide the customer with additional information about the cancellation. Don’t worry, the Start2Finish platform will automatically take care of providing the customer with a refund for the uncompleted job.
